I saved my .PST files to a CD and now can't read them. What do I have to do?
Some people have saved their archive files to CD to conserve disk space on their home share and/or PC disk. However, when trying to open and read those files from the CD, the files won't open.
Microsoft requires Write Access to be able to open a PST from Outlook. When a PST is burned to CD, the PST properties are automatically changed to "Read only". If the Personal Folder is backed up to CD, it will need to be copied back to either the Hard Drive or User Share, and file properties changed from "Read only".
