Why do I lose functionality in Outlook Web Access using Netscape browser?

To take full advantage of Outlook Web Access features, use Internet Explorer 5.0 or greater. Any browser that supports HTTP version 3.2 will work, but certain features and functionality are only available with Internet Explorer 5.0 or greater. The following table compares the browsers.

In other browsers, much of this functionality is lost is a result of providing backward compatibility to browsers that do not support DHTML and XML.
